Synopsis
This story about bullfight is based on the novel by Jack London “the Madness of John Harned” as well as on Ernest Hemingway’s rare revelations. The arena guards its secrets violently. But once the bullfight’s backstage opens its doors to a Russian judo-sportsman, who by chance got into the thick of things taking place in Pamplona during the fiesta, where on having mixed blood and sand, life and death, sex and love the inhuman passion of his new acquaintances matadors now throw him - as if he were a Russian bull - to the greatest matador of all ages – the crowd. But to kill a maddened Russian guy appeared to be not an easy task, and this day more people have died than on all Spanish arenas from all the bull’s horns for the last fifty years. The arena drunk away the blood again and the Ernest Hemingway’s suicide and his dying statement become an epilog of this shocking film “A farewell to bullfight”.
